new product launch; 'circus hors-d'oeuvres' a plate set on a metal disk and stem; a stick to shove in earth/flowerpots. the plate magnetic base adheres to the steel disk welded to the stem. plates can easily be removed from the stick and refreshed with your favorite stock of hors-d'oeuvres. party now CIRCUS STYLE!

WITTY METAMORPHOSES.

At times, Wyssem Nochi's art-objects feel like elaborate jokes. This does not cast personal aspersions on the architect and urban planner-turned-object designer's obvious talent. Au contraire. In our media saturated world, where medium and message are all but indistinguishable and frequently overwhelm one another, the Lebanese designer's profoundly playful creations convey both style and substance, although one may have to perform a few feats of total recall to appreciate the full import of the latter.
